It's really light, around 8 pounds (including its own suitcase carrying carton). The Q-snap Floor Model is a great 'PVC' type frame. Made of polystyrene, with the ribbed inner surface clamping clamps that are special to Q-snaps. Two can sit comfortably for a friendly quilting session, but then add the extension! The extension DOUBLES THE SIZE OF THE QUILTING AREA TO ALMOST 2,000 INCHES!!!! And both the frame and the extension come apart and fit into their own carrying boxes, so they are lightweight and portable! A quilting bee on the go!
