4-ply worsted weight 8 oz./227g; 465yd/425m per skein 100% Pure Virgin Wool Gauge: Knit: 16 sts + 22 rows = 4" (10 cm) on size 9 (5.5mm) needles Crochet:  16 sc + 16 rows = 4" (10 cm)  Size H-8 (5mm) hook Hand wash in in cool or warm water; dry flat and not by machine.
